Chris Evans best known for his role as The Marvel superhero Captain America has been officially announced as the “Sexiest Man Alive of 2022”.
The unveiling was made on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert with help from former Sexiest Man, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
“My mom will be so happy,” Chris, told People in his cover story. “She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about.”
As Colbert announced the winner from two finalists – Oliver and Evans a miffed Oliver Stormed out demanding a “recount”.
Chris could not appear on the show and was congratulated through a Video.
“It means a lot coming from a former Sexiest Man Alive,” Evans told Johnson.
Expressing his desire to take time off acting the actor said, “That’s absolutely something I want. Some things you want just for you, or just for my family and my friends. The most enjoyable aspect of my career right now is feeling secure enough to take my foot off the gas. I feel like I have a bit more freedom to take time away from the industry and still find projects that will satisfy my creative appetite when I return,”
He further mentioned that his friends would bully him for the title. “Really this will just be a point of bullying. It’s ripe for harassment,” he added.
